The Multi Minerals Australia quarry is in Central NSW. It is 42 kilometres northwest of Mudgee NSW, and 305 kilometres from Sydney.
It has sealed access to the main highways connecting regional and metropolitan centres. These centres of industry and the ports of Sydney and Newcastle are key in the company’s plans.
The quarry is operational in all weather.
It is located centrally in the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), a region in New South Wales that will generate large amounts of renewable energy. It’s the first REZ in the State and centre for solar and wind farm development in Australia.
The REZ is approximately 20,000 square kilometres and is designed to initially deliver 4.5 gigawatts of network capacity utilising generation from solar, wind and energy storage, with capacity to increase to 6 GW by 2038.
